If there was only one self-help book to read, this would be it. The author analyzes the finely springs from lack of love and security felt in the first years of life (the famous matrix deficiency), and explains in detail how it leads to all kinds of wanderings, including emotional, to anxieties, and to be struggling with depression. Furthermore this book is very well written, simple and profound way at once, and reads like a novel through the thrust 3 stories analysis (real) patients. The analysis of the author is both psychological, psychoanalytic, sociological, historical and cross-cultural. The last chapter is devoted to tips to get by, and they struck me as really relevant.
