After usual brisk delivery through Amazon I noticed the same fail to the usual words "Made in China" - which today, unfortunately, is standard in such products.
Contrary to expectations, the blister pack could simply open and revealed the same the first positive surprise: A suitable battery came with.
The housing is made of black plastic and makes a solid impression. The faces on the retaining clip are provided with rubber pads, so that the Kindle is not scratched when attaching the lamp. The terminal can be opened far enough to attach the lamp also on a Kindle Leather Cover (I use the original cover of Amazon) - but only without the lid.
The LED light is bright and flicker-free. The long, flexible gooseneck allows the lamp individually position it so that it illuminates the entire display without dazzling. I recommend to fix the lamp on the top right of the Kindles and easy to bend the gooseneck to the left. This light reflections are avoided on the smooth plastic surface of the terminal.
Of course, any additional part increases the weight of the Kindles, but that does not bother me more, because I already mostly holding the device with two hands. But even with one hand, the device is being pinched lamp to keep quite still good.
All in all for the price a thoroughly recommendable product.
