A first attempt to establish a connection with WPS unfortunately failed miserably!
Even an attempt to integrate into the network the repeater via LAN was not successful. After my acquaintances had found in the English manual, the default IP address, I could at least plan the next steps.
The problem was that the address space was not in the address range of the network set up. Thankfully, all configured via DHCP, so that it was easily possible to "push" the router to another area to. Now unfortunately all done remotely, an element of risk was there, no longer access the remote network.
Now that the network was converted to the range of the repeater, I realized that these were the login information specified in the manual wrong and a sign only with the aid of a reset was possible.
Thereafter, the further device itself was relatively simple because the web interface of the device leaves a tidy impression.
However, it should be noted that a device as described in the instructions would probably have been much easier !? Still, it surprises me that the network has to adapt to a repeater and not vice versa!
In summary:
Negatives:
- Only static IP address (not configurable)
- Only English guide - the found on the internet (German) instructions Although corresponded to the type designation, but not the device itself!
Positives:
- Strong receiving and forwarding the wireless signal
- Low power consumption
- Support standard encryption
- Chic design (according to image;))
Conclusion:
Those who know a little about networks (or knows someone;)), or simply can adjust everything by DHCP, is well advised with this device, because the price / performance ratio is absolutely right!
