I purchased this product for my Galaxy Note Pro 12 because I wanted to transfer my data from my external hard drives repeatedly on the unit to go without the circuitous route, having to always boot up my PC. This adapter fits perfectly, my Tab detects the external hard drives immediately and the transfer will only take short, thanks to USB 3.0
