He was immediately recognized by my computer. I think the delivered file format was FAT, I reformatted in to Mac OS Extended. Software was not installed.
I now use the stick first to store a bootable installation of OS X on Yosemite (many instructions on how to proceed are easy to find). Quasi what you got formerly supplied by Apple on CD / DVD, but now have to download for hours with each new installation and for each device, which although usually works well but just if there are any problems with the device is annoying. For this fit the size of 8GB very good (5.5 GB installer plus possibly some temporary storage). The stick looks very good from the unibody metal housing of a iMac or MacBook. He is so small that it could possibly be a bit tricky to find it on the back of the screen and withdraw without looking, but the eye has a quite good grip.
You could use the stick thanks to the large stable eyelet certainly problems for example on a key chain with you at all to carry data back and forth to transport.
In the low price a strong buy recommendation. I think I'm going to get over time a few of them for different uses.
