Ingenious Headset

I have after much back and forth but now decided to buy the G930. The decisive point for this was that my previous headsets are always gone after half a year about to cable break basis. Last I have a slightly more favorable Sennheiser PC 151 Headset black used. However, for this issue in the year 100 was a little too expensive, which is why I then chose this headset.

And I must say that I am thrilled completely except for a few points of criticism.

I am what music and sound As a bit challenging. I buy my music in good quality and may be a Logitech Z-5500 505 W RMS 5.1 THX surround speaker HiFi system call my own. Excited I was, therefore, on the difference in the surround effect.

I mainly play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and am very impressed by the surround effect! I can much better than listening to my system where steps, shots come etc.. One can if you listen well quickly and precisely in the direction of the oncoming enemy - as it has already been called a few times I would cheat. It's really very accurate.

In TS was found at once that no more noises are heard. No breathing, no noise. In TS that goes with the noise still because is transmitted only from a certain level, at Skype it bothers however always. Nothing is found. It is often asked if I was still there at all when I say nothing. Very advantageous is also the very elegant solution for muting the microphone during fold or by pressing the button on the side.

All in all, I find the control very well done, the volume control is very pleasant to use - it does not jump so quickly between the extremes, as I had many headsets and speakers with the control in the cable. In addition, you have here the advantage that direct the Systemlautstäre the PC is adjusted. Under normal headsets you have on the PC so fix the volume here on a certain level and then to the "remote control" only weaken this signal. So you can never tap the full range and is limited by the settings on the controller. What are not quite open up to me the programmable buttons on the side. Draufzulegen for controlling music ok, but any macros from the game would be a little too complicated and especially impractical. For the enjoyment of music, however, I recommend the effect off, there is very distorted, especially bass, it really does not sound nice to completely overridden. Otherwise, the headset can also be used very good for listening to music. Enough settings the software offers at least.

What really excited me: you do not notice the headset on your head! Although it is quite difficult but I notice it less than my old Sennheiser. Here stands out once again the high quality of workmanship from Logitech.

The software could be written a whole chapter ... really work she does with me, and I no longer dare much to do about it. As would be the problem that the headset is sometimes not at all in the list of attached Logitech devices. If you then terminates the software can ever come to short interruptions of the PC. As for the basics, but only have to be adjusted and the rest is really just gimmick, you need to adjust the software actually nothing once it has been established. However, are apparently not all the settings saved always right, sometimes the sidetone setting (so that one himself heard through the headphones while talking) to often though I completely power down again. The same applies to the micro, I have to ask from minimum to maximum again.

Now we come to the negative points. These include in any event the battery. I did not pay close attention to how long the battery lasts - but I have to load a week several times, at least once. Since the charging cable is however relatively long can you look at it wonderful invite playing when it is empty. Another advantage of the charging cable is that it fits into my cordless Logitech G700 Gaming Laser mouse whose wire is much too inflexible to play. Even my cell phone headset can I load it.

All in all, do not hit me the negative points so significant. I would buy the headset at any time. Only that I'm flexible and can watch movies or skype in bed is awesome. From me there 5 Star.
