Processing / Appearance: The speakers are reasonably processed. The outer edges are meticulously crafted, and the known mold problems of its predecessor are not present. The LS has a nice shape and become narrower towards the rear. The HECO-characters are not quite straight. Wens bothers ... I'm saving in the price range better off than on the sound. But is also minimal.
Connection: The Fronts (701/601/501) they leave via bi-amping connect. This must support the AV receiver, for example unutilized amplifiers at 5.1 (instead of 7.1) to connect additional. This woofer can be used independently of the central dome tweeter. Have tried both. Whether the sound is voluminous ... hard to tell difference unfolds at really high volume levels since this strength is there.
There are high-quality screw terminals, so no cheap terminals. This applies to all LS Series (701/601/501/301/201/101)
KLANG, the most important thing:
Very balanced, mild and full-bodied sound. Have this Victa II series, Jamos 606 (Sonically also good, more peaks in the sound, crowd visually but too much on) and magnate Supreme (same house, not so well made and listen to really not good at) belongs. In addition, the predecessor. Also have all heard in a direct comparison. Here I found the Victa II best. However, this is subjective, so I'd prefer to say they sound mild and harmonious. In addition, I have the more expensive Canton GLE series is compared, these are a little stronger, but not so harmonious.
Even the subwoofer compensate for the 701er. Of course not as extreme, but the normal bass comes through well.
Incidentally, I still heard ELAC 60.2 compared. They are good, but the price / performance ratio is not right.
