I had some as well,
the problem that I did not get any confirmation e-mail on my university address.
The next day, just call Microsoft:

Since first pushed by the speed dial jungle,
last number that was pushing was a 4 (press the 4 Technology for ..... or support or something like that)
I then an employee described my problem and then had my call Microsoft email address
First name, last name and the domain of our university -> So everything that comes after "@", ie "@ studenten.XXXXX.de"
and finally the phone number.
At the end I was told that is not sure whether (since Friday) someone will report today,
probably tomorrow (Sat) but no later than Monday.
And the end:
Approximately 2-3 hours, the same day !!, after my call came
an email from Microsoft with the confirmation code !!
By that I had not expected: D
