I've bought the game and my first impression: means good graphics (the figure or figures which you play are not too great animated; it "runs" eg the stairs without changing the running movements of the figure.) the textures could be better ... , But good sound (be sure to play through stereo!) The story seemed initially quite confusing, but after a little time the whole thing turned out to be quite nice story about the 2,000 year battle against the darkness. During this time you play a wide variety of characters, all of which contribute to one way or another to the fact that you can compete in the now-time against the dark deity. There are three different Spielverlaüfe (not great otherwise, except cutscenes). Over time you learn spells, in which case a very nice system was cobbled together from runes, which you can connect to different spells. Also turns out to be a really great time with the news that "sanity meter". Once one is spotted by creatures falls this ad. Depending on the amount you're more sane. At first the image is wrong, one hears strange noises, suddenly you sink in the room ... Genial here is that sometimes hardware are simulated defects to shock the player. - This is definitely well done! I have the game now played out completely already three times, and had obviously seen still not all "possibilities of madness". One is said that if you walk around a long time without Sanity, pass the grusligsten and sometimes the funniest things. All these things can a quickly overlooked that the character is not that great animated, and even though the textures are not so gigantic, there and there are little things that make the quickly forgotten (the walls sometimes bleed, statues look after you, etc ...) All in all, Eternal Darkness, a game that has the power to someone for hours, if not days, to tie before the Gamecube !!!
