For history buffs, this collection is a must. The Book of Esther is Benbassa erudite, interesting, and give satisfaction to students and individuals interested in learning more about a people victimized clichés and frustrations of many uncultivated. Here, seriousness: no conspiracy theory as like simple-minded, not born of a subjectivity irrational hatred of the facts, just the facts, reminders. Some recalling where do the worst clichés. The book is for everyone, no need to be Jewish to the Jews of France sintéresser as it does not need to be Roman for sintéresser to antiquity ... The limits of the book? Its size: summarize nearly 2000 years in 300 pages is an almost impossible exercise. Esther Benbassa is doing pretty well, but only on the average age 300 pages are not enough already ...
