Since I am always amazed by the effect of the moor pillow, I wanted to establish such a marvel of household me now to also treat myself at home in the manner described. My choice was the local Wurzelsepp moor pillow. The size is perfect for my purposes and probably corresponds to the one that uses my therapist. Unfortunately Wurzelsepp cushion is only about half as much filled as the professional peat wraps. Of course due to the lower capacity the weight is also much weaker, that weighs on my arm, and therefore also the corresponding effect. In addition, the surface feels significantly less stable than at the professional pillow. The cushions of my therapists have a unkaputtbar acting surface that feels like oilcloth. The surface of the Wurzelsepp-pad on the other hand seems very robust, one wonders how many treatments you will probably survive. They reminded me of those slightly fluted abheftbaren sheet protectors, is indeed soft and pliable, but seems just not right "for eternity" :-(
In weight the Wurzelsepp Pillow comes just at 1,313 g (as opposed to the approximately 2.5-3 kg cushion my therapist).
Accordingly, the lower filling the heat yield is significantly lower. While the pro-cushion even after more than 30, sometimes 40 minutes. is still very very warm, the Wurzelsepp Pillow is min after 15. so far cooled that a therapeutic effect should probably no longer exist or appreciably.
I tested the moor pillow in the neck area. It relaxes the muscles there something, but unfortunately (of course) also no longer or long enough. In addition, just lying down, due to the low capacity and not enough "mass" because in order to optimally conform to the neck can. Well, again, that due to its size and turn handy thinness or standing / sitting can be worn around the neck pillow, if you hold together the front ends, then you have a better chance to heat a larger area neck skin.
The heating of the cushion has to be done in a water bath or microwave oven, a warming in the oven is specifically not recommended (harm the surface).
Conclusion: Personally I would buy this moor pillow a second time.
