I can not imagine that this UV filter is really high to me, or even the UV rays blocks, but I have anyway bought this model only for the lens protection and am very satisfied. The build quality is good, there are no sharp edges and the thread can also turn very well. An unexpected bonus: My Tamron lens cover keeps the lens and finally reasonable no longer falls at the slightest resistance, as previously without UV filters!
