The Sigma Bc 8:12 is a classic bike speedometer with easy features and easy installation as well. The reason to buy was an impending multi-day bicycle tour. The requirements were daily bag, Ges. Track & average speed. All this for a reasonable price as possible, because we wanted to do without modern features such as a navigation. Since I have had good experiences with Sigma speedos in the past so the choice fell relatively quickly. The device comes as usual in a transparent plastic box, the handlebar mount assembly on the stem can be rotated in 90 degree increments, so possible and is mounted with the supplied rubber bands. Likewise, the sensor on the fork is mounted with rubber bands. Sigma has so fortunately did not try to reinvent the wheel, but has remained at altbewehrten principle. After about 5 minutes mounting the tire size must be read, this can be determined from a table supplied the tire circumference, this must be entered for calibration. The complete operation of the speedometer is done via a central button. This has the advantage that you do not have to remember which function is behind which button, on the other hand the disadvantage that you have to click through the whole menu. After all the positive aspects but there is a point of criticism: The "Display Glass" This is incredibly sensitive, which I think is totally inadequate in a bicycle speedometer. The first scratch it had been after the first day, which can be completely alone due to the fact that the speedometer was at night in a pocket. Here I see a need for improvement.
