I do not know what I mattendais in the beginning. Threw particularly impatient. It is said that men of good after all. So I could quapprécieret yet surprise !!! It took me nearly 70 pages to really get into the mood. For a book that nest ultimately not so thick, it's a little disappointing. (Which is always a risk when you wait too of a book)
It's not that the story is uninteresting, quite the contrary, it was a pretty epic, full of twists, multiple characters. But it is long to implement. The presentation of the characters and the plot to unfold slowly wastes a little fun.
I have not experienced either genuine sympathy for the characters. Although diverse, and different characters, rich and varied, both bandits and village chief, murderers and heroes, I had the sensation of a certain detachment in their struggles. Only my Nuada really moved on end. The characters do not really feel sad, Dangoisse of friendship or with respect to others. They seem detached. Perhaps this is what my most shocked.
On the plot itself. It is itself really interesting. Pressure mounts gently until his final fight. David Gemmell knows how to keep the reader in suspense after Completion. Although the story is simple at first, and eventually already seen. The evil against good. Here boundaries are more blurred, tenuous. What is bad for lun not necessarily ballast for each other. The views diverge and eventually quest what is wrong, what is good quest? The heroes are not good guys without any stain on their table. They can switch on one side or the other. This is what I really prefer in this novel.
The omnipresent magic, although not if it is exploited defines color, originality over which napporte not much to the story but the striker does not.
In short, this is a good novel not play too bad, but ultimately is not free of defects. I recommend it to fans anyway, because quon pass still a good time.
