Here, no cute little rabbits, no kittens purr, no pink ponies to style. All creatures have presented a formidable superpower sometimes fatal to their opponents: the stone fish and venomous spines, lhippopotame apnea and fifteen minutes, the great white shark and electromagnetic sensors, and its points lhémione 70 km / h, the leatherback turtle and its ultra-resistant shell, the Kokoi poison frog and on the back, the box jellyfish and micro-syringes, lion and female! For not only this book highlights the natural talents of animals, but it also sattaque few prejudices, putting everyone in his place. The lion, king of beasts? This is especially a big lazy who "leaves the females hunt for him for that he sleeps twenty hours a day on average. "
For each of the twenty-nine animals presented a two-page large format (27x35cm), with a minimalist style drawing that I find very nice, a small plug of technical characteristics of the beast (life, size, weight, speed ) and five to ten key events written in a paragraph each ("birth", "annoying her tic", "his favorite trick," "his favorite meal," "his most spectacular achievement", "the Achilles heel" "his biggest fault" and of course, his "superpower", presented in box). The entire house can very easy to read for children with unlocked competence (personal estimate: from late CP / early EC1).
In short, an interesting animal book, not stupid, well presented and original content. I recommend!
