Internet security for a PC

I've been using for years anti-virus and security software for my computer. Mostly, however, the programs make the lame computer. For the first time with the versions of 2013, I had found that the McAfee products are a notable exception and still works reliably. I am happy to have therefore tested McAfee Internet Security 2014. My test in detail:

Installation:
Disturbing is that you will be redirected to the online installation of the specified page to a promotional page in which only purchase, but no activation is possible. Thus, the activation on my tablet (Win 8) was not possible without an external CD drive. However, from the CD a conventional installation worked without problems.

Positives:
+ When installing older versions of security software are removed easily, just restart was required
+ With firewall, virus, spyware, spam and phishing protection software for the Internet usage is well equipped
+ The shredder comes in handy so far I had used your own program
+ The most important thing for me positive feature of McAfee Internet Security 2014 is the fact that the security software unobtrusively works in the background without slowing down your computer noticeably and also the start of the computer hardly delayed. I've seen other ...

Overall a very good product that could be worth my 5 star were it not the problem with the online installer. A word about the different versions for 1 or 3 computers. The product of a PC is only worthwhile if you really only has a PC. The version for 3 computers is only slightly more expensive. For bargain hunters: The Version McAfee Internet Security 2013 includes a free upgrade option for the 2014 version, but it costs only a fraction.
