To avoid having to lay kilometers of cable, we opted for the Internet via WLAN. But one of our computer had a weak wireless signal (2 thick walls and cabinets) and thus an unstable Internet with locally minimal data transmission rate. Much to the chagrin of our son who downloads a lot of music and videos. The other PC was a little better, but also not satisfactory. Therefore, we have decided after a tip from friends for the current network adapter, and now everything is fine. The lower PC now has a data transfer rate from 150 to 190 Mbit / s and the installation of the adapter is very easy to plug-in really. And here's a tip: On the website of Computer Bild and even when Devolo itself (I think) you can download a free software tool "devolo dLAN Cockpit". In the installation even easier and you can configure, encrypt and make a firmware update the adapter above. Conclusion for us: An investment that was well worth it.
