In this dozen new, Colette looks the human world of pets perspective.
The first ten new heroes have for a dog (Toby the dog) and a cat (Kiki-la-doucette) that together comment a number of situations in everyday life that they live with their owners (a couple staying sometimes to Paris, sometimes in the countryside).

The situations, interpretations by the two animals and the relationship between the cat and the dog are extraordinarily good views and narrated with great beauty by Colette style which we understand that she loved his animals and knew them well.

The set is poetic, often funny and sometimes cruel, but always full of freedom, as often with Colette.
