Although some of Sony's but larger than many NoName Battery Charger with often 50% more battery capacity, I believe that this statement for "honest" and is far more realistic.
This is shown by the packaging, on the well-recognized is: 3.6V / 2000mAh. As a result, when 5V is less available. This is also so in other, but of course added reluctantly.
Especially Sony would shrink the part sure if this would be possible with the same power.
But I must admit that my capacity display with many other devices (LEDs 3-4) like better, the Sony has to know the combination of flashing rhythm and light color of the single LED and yet has only a very rough indication of the status.
In sum not perfect but I think the (small) extra charge is the present value (15 have paid NoName-parts cost usually around 10).
Addendum:
I now have a couple of measurements performed (iPhone 5s with 10% Battery Cap, Sony CP-EL loaded with 5W-Apple power supply.) And must be based on these results, the factory specifications concerning the capacity question something.:
00 Min .: charging current 0.98a, 10% (green LED)
42 Min .: charging current 0.98a, 55% (green LED)
47 Min .: charging current 0.95A, 60% (green LED flashes)
58 Min .: charging current 0.92A, 70% (green LED flashes)
70 Min .: charging current 0.87A, 80% (green LED flashes)
80 Min .: charging current 0.00A, 85% (LED off)
If you simply times into consideration the usual 30% loss of Sony battery capacity (by voltage conversion), it would be about 1400mAh. This correlates well with the capacity of iPhone5s battery (1570mAh). Then I would have expected a full charge, but there are 75% (<1200mAh). Disregarded here, however, the energy consumption of the voltage / current meter and which was caused by the operation of the smartphone (both should be marginal).
When you load it looks like this:. After emptied CP-EL is about 5 hours loaded with constant 0.4A at laptop USB, then the charge current drops continuierlich until the orange LED goes out eventually. Expected Simpel one is here pretty much to 2000mAh (5h. X 400mA).
