I clicked my way through many comparisons, forums and tests in order to find a good and affordable players.
Of course I have played with the idea to buy an iPod nano (new model). However, I was having quite a lot of negative criticism surprised eg that the iPod would often crash or the "Cover Flow" long need to be loaded.
Since I had really no iPod now, I looked for another alternative. The "Sansa" SanDisk laughed at me for a long time.
But when I went into the Saturn (Schwanthalerstraße, Munich) to let me know how there prices are so, I would rather read the finger from Sansa. Because I saw him - the Creative Zen. I was immediately impressed by the device because it can:
- Play music (AAC (.M4A), MP3, WMA, WAVE and Audible)
- Play videos (WMV and DivX / XviD (320 x 240))
- Photos
and has:
- An integrated FM radio
- An integrated microphone (which, incidentally, quite good shots makes)
- A slot for SD memory cards
And a 2.5-inch color display with 16.7 million colors.
So far so good.
Here gibts the system requirements:
* Microsoft® Windows® XP (Service Pack 2) or Microsoft Windows Vista
* USB 1.1 port (USB 2.0 recommended)
* 130 MB free space on the hard drive (for storing audio files will need more space)
I am very satisfied so far on my part. The sound quality is top, you have 9 Equalizer (and one that you can manually set), a bass boost function and you can sync iseren the player with Outlook, ie, one can transfer his contacts and appointments to the ZEN.
The thing I did not like so much to the players is:
- Content on the memory card is not included in the media library, but must be accessed via the menu item "memory card".
- Dates and Contact Power can not be added to the ZEN, but accessed only.
Otherwise, the Creative Zen is really worth the money.
Processing is neat in itself, envelope, although plastic, still looks classy (thought it would "ClearCase" of acrylic to protect ordered). Videos can look beautiful on the ZEN because it has a relatively large display and not bucking the movies great.
Software is also included (drivers, "Zen Media Explorer" and "ZENcast Organizer - ZEN Media Explorer for managing and adding new files, ZENcast Organzier to download, convert and transfer (video) Podcasts.
The beige supplied earphones are too big for me personally, so I never imagined the "K312P" of "AKG" bought, with whom I am very happy.
All around: 5 stars because you really get anything better for the price. I would perhaps suggest rather buy the 8GB version (or even the 16GB version), who has a really big music Arsenal.
Otherwise, the iPod nano pack.
Sincerely - your Alexander Eder :)
