The headphones came on in a tight plastic bag and there was already first deep kinks in the cables, which does not look very nice. The first visual impression, however, was very satisfactory. Clean processing and everything seemed stable.
In practical test, things went not so well. First, I would like to mention that I run the iPod Touch 2G with iOS 4.2.1. Play, Pause (each 1x middle button), next song (2x center button), previous song (3x middle button) worked perfectly. The volume control, however, was very imprecise. When you press the down key of the volume control every now and then jumped forward and then back again. Ultimately, that was still to be absorbed. The volume up button worked so well as not. To take a step loud I had to about 5 times the average key (I have tried it several times and also tested, to press the button in different. Pressure strengths and angles). Unfortunately not satisfactory and permanent strain on the thumb.
The microphone is definitely not detected (tested with voice memos and Skype) and could thus no function tests be subjected.
Short for sound itself: solid, but by no means outstanding. Little Bass.
I doubt that there are original headset from Apple, but what does not in the end to the point, because for me does not count, from whom it comes, but it just works and does what it promises.
Purely speculative, I would say that I either get a product with processing defects or headphones only up to a certain firmware version function properly.
Conclusion: Can work, but also can not work! What I have taken some reviews, is that the headphones harmonize well with the principle iPod Touch 2G ... as long as you get no defective product and / or firmware is correct.
