I was a bit surprised when I read that these pins can be found at toy. Therefore I can not make any statement about how educationally valuable are these pins because they are not toys for children in my eyes. The fun factor I have in relation to the applicability of the pins. I find these pins very good overall. They are different from my American Prismacolor (these are wax-based and are softer, Polychromos are oil-based and a bit harder), but are a good supplement for this purpose. You have just the advantage that they are widely available. You can create great color gradations with the polys. They are well combined with many other techniques. And after my first attempts, I also think that they have fairly stable mines.
