The device comes in the package of a Spartan drive enclosure made of plastic, it is probably a torch which was designed for use in notebooks. The reading of Blu-Ray's works fine. Writing DVD also works, since I already had in previous drives, not really important. That was zuächst. An attempt just a few files with the Windows 7 CD burning function to write to a Blu-ray blank failed completely destroyed blank. Next try, because it actually would work under Windows anyway, this time with a well-known burning software. The result is completely OK, the Windows burning software probably seem to be missing drivers for the drive or there are other problems (is precisely just Microsoft).
Conclusion: The drive is not bad, the housing could for long burns a little better the heat derived (totally plastic and no ventilation), since the integrated drive has its own aluminum housing, a few air vents would indeed be no problem ?! Bundled drivers for Windows burning software would be not bad either.
