Is it because SOAD? NO!

I understand it just did not: Some people always say Yes, Scars on Broadway sounds like System of a down or to listen to so.
But right now times; just because here Daron Malakian and John Dolmayan are at work, it does not mean that the panel sounds like Soad!
In my opinion, it does not do namely. Sure, Darons song that could be earlier heard in some songs and can also be seen at once. But otherwise, this record has not really much to do with System Of A Down.

The songs themselves are all not bad, but some are a little "lax". Suppose the song "Cute Machines": The lyrics of this song has little to offer, there is always only repeats the same text, the text does not say much. Then there are widerrum songs that totally blow one, such as "Kill Each Other / Live Forever". The quieter songs can quite convincing, especially "Whoring Streets" has very convinced me the song I'd even rank among the best of the album. Durchgeknallte songs, as we know from mastermind Daron Malakian, of course, must not be missed, see "Chemicals". With "Chemicals", a new sound is presented with loopy, Daron-typical texts.

The album itself is very varied, so it is never boring. I forgive this album 5 stars because it is convincing in many respects, even if not all songs are 100% successful. Nevertheless, once again a Masterpiece of Daron Malakian.
