Is this "protector" make sense?

I honestly wonder what protection should give this overvoltage protection element of my system. According to technical data, it speaks only when larger spikes at 200V. If such tensions arise, then everything should be too late, because I do not think the (sensitive) inputs on the TV, multi-switch or output of the LNB so survive high voltages.
In my view, has an effective protective element in the order of 50 ... 60 V to address in order to prevent damage to the system.
