So - my third digital satellite receivers with recording function (PVR Ready).
Number one was a Xoro HRS 3400 who died unfortunately after almost a year (the "connect any hard drive without power supply, only USB sticks" with the guide was obviously meant seriously, the PSU packs the long run probably not). Number two is a smart CX 01 FTA HDTV satellite receiver which is considerably more expensive than the Xoro or Dyon, but snoring slowly. Half a minute until the TV picture after turning on?!? When playing a recording you have to press and hold for several seconds the remote control buttons, so that commands are accepted? Weia ... Maybe I should try to see if overclocking goes there once ...

After some research I decided for the Dyon Condor, ordered Monday, Tuesday it was there. Amazon was as always quickly and easily.

The receiver is compact, looks relatively smart. Connect, switch, image since. No Problem. The remote control is tiny, funny enough, it looks exactly like the deceased from Xoro 3400 - and this works Dyon properly. The operation and menus remind me of the former unit - which are probably related somehow :-)

The printed, multi-lingual instructions, as others have written, an impertinence. There are screenshots shown in stamp size, on which he ought to know the on-screen menus. An electronic manual (PDF) is available on the website of Dyon, so you have to live with it. A little patience and "trial and error" but quickly lead to success. Many menu items has not the device.
Drives larger 64GB can not be used here, the instruction to a (Paid) firmware update out, but this is not available in Dyon shop (Stand 28.03.12). I do not need me so do not bother.

I particularly like too: After a certain time without operation, the device goes into standby. At programmed timer recordings it switches itself also again (I mean, the Xoro had it then remain on time!)
During a recording you can watch also another program that is on the same transponder, the channel list offers in which case only the available channels.
Whether two shots on the same transponder can happen simultaneously, I have not tried it yet - but I'm sure yet ... :-)

I still have not tried everything, but the receiver is serving, the children came immediately clear it.
The recording function is ok, time-shift goes also. So ringing phone? No Problem. Press pause and come back and watch the film.

Conclusion:
The device is for the price absolutely fine. If you do not overstated the aforementioned weaknesses, so you can be absolutely happy. For HDTV or a large flat, the receiver is not suitable for lack of digital video interface. For those who need to replace their analog receiver now until end of April 2012 and until further notice still want to maintain a tube device - very strong buy recommendation.
