It could hardly be worse!

Before, I was a staunch Nokia fan, so I decided on the Nokia 500 and ignores the streaky recessions. Unfortunately, however, this device is an absolute disaster. The only positive thing that comes to mind is that it is processed very valuable and in the package are 3 battery cover, red, purple and black.

In portrait mode, the onscreen keyboard is actually not to use, the buttons are too small, also the touch screen sometimes reacts not at all even though you have the finger pressure on the glass, sometimes you barely touched and the letter three times in the text. Actually I had no reason to fear before me an Internet flat rate, because I need the device write mainly for calling and texting, otherwise I take a notebook with Webstick, but on my last phone bill, the nasty surprise came 55 euros for a 6-hour data link the unit had set up without my knowledge. I thought, ok, can happen, I've probably forgotten the key lock, but no, yesterday the phone was in the passenger seat of my car, the key lock was definitely active and suddenly the instrument is based on a telephone connection to someone in my contacts list, luckily I have a hands-free and have noticed it therefore immediately. The speakerphone works otherwise only if Bluetooth on the Nokia 500 is switched on permanently visible, but this may be due to the hands-free system of BMW. Battery performance is maybe a positive aspect, Bluetooth is a power-hungry, but I just have to every 2 days to the charger. Without Bluetooth the battery reaches 5 probably to 7 days, unfortunately, had no opportunity to test it, because I do not ever want to turn off Bluetooth and. The menu I find terribly confusing, many features are hidden behind arcane symbols. If one uses a function regularly, so does not bother, you know then just what is behind an icon, with less frequently used apps to me, however, a text note is missing.

The device can be equipped with a micro-SD card, the card slot is located under the Accu however, so that a rapid removal is impossible. On my Sony-Ericson, that I had before, I could disassemble remove the memory card without the device.

The Symbian operating system from Nokia is a stand-alone solution, which also should keep in mind. I note again that interesting apps are available for iPhone or Android.

My conclusion: Never have a Nokia, I would rather invest a few euros more and buy myself a Samsung or another Sony Ericson.
