Now that Cat Stevens has long ceased so called, but Yussuf Islam - he is now a Muslim - I've heard a thing or two times by people that they no longer listen to Cat Stevens' music (want). Well, whatever happened to the person Cat Stevens, I think it is why boycotting his music for Humbug. Songs like "? Where Do The Children Play", "Sad Lisa", "Longer Boats" and not least "Father And Son" are soothing thought-provoking masterpieces - to listen. I bought as a teenager this LP and am still now continually impressed by the deeper realization that Stevens has packed into his "Father And Son": "... As soon as you start to speak, you are forced to listen ..." - "It's not easy to be young ... I understand you know ..." (loosely translated)
I do not know how many teenagers English well enough to understand these texts to "understand" and interpret a bit. I liked Cat Stevens helped very well and well done, in my Sturm & Drang period. The man understood me - I am grateful to him.
I can only recommend this album to teenagers. Or ... "Morbid nostalgic".
