The scanner is ansich perfect, the scan results are very good ...
But, as already mentioned - some sugar, more specifically about one to two packages one needs already to achieve really excellent results.
Once again, this is no joke.
An Example:
I want to scan an entire DVD cover (front and back).
I take the whole DVD, smooth down some and put it into the scanner. The cover is black with white lettering, the cover image itself is colored.
Result:
An almost perfect scan. Everything is displayed cleanly, only in he center it is always bright, probably the effect of mirroring.
It's just so. The new devices are getting smaller and more easily, which is mostly an advantage. This advantage turns out in this case, however, the total disadvantage.
My old scanner from Cannon, but I WIN WIN 7 or 8 can no longer use was significantly more stable (and heavier). However, this generated much better results.
Long story ... it is solely on the lid. This is too easy, and includes the whole not optimal. A Wabbelding which just remains to be complaining.
Shortly:
Normal Scan: image as just described
Scan with complained lid: it gets better
Scan with top patch hand: it is optimal.
Who scans little, can probably live very well with this solution.
Multi-scanners, I would rather not recommend the LIDE 210.
The installation is the way go smoothly.
