The beginning of this novel captures immediate attention of the reader, an American in Paris falls on the man who murdered his father more than thirty years ago and snaps a chase across Europe. From the beginning, the characters, police, suspects and criminals are well drawn and well appointed interactions. The pace is, an excess of twists and extreme situations (eg, life in extremis) sometimes makes the price of the preposterous story, so I was somewhat embarrassed in the end. The plot is gradually revealed until the final coup de theater. Against the background of neo Nazism and cranks sects, Folsom signed a good first novel. A few lengths of this story 700 pages could have been avoided. It is unfortunate that the French publishers, lacking intuition or worries marketing, absolutely take place the word evil in a title thriller. The "The day after Toomorrow" novel sounds good with the draw "The axis of evil"? "The day after" or a different term condemned the novel go unnoticed?
