It's a beautiful story ....

A doctor's secret Freud (Paperback)

Customer Review

It's fashion seems you in this literary season out books that are not works of history in the strict sense, but the fictionalized story ... and widely. The tragedy is that many of us may take this kind of work for a historique..alors truth it is not.
This novel, even based on historical figures and facts obtained in part no doubt to the dÉliette BECASSIS mother, herself a psychoanalyst, contains a good amount of events straight out of the imagination of the author. Everything is cleverly intricate.
Some examples.
If Dr. Sauerwald did exist and shows leniency in the management of FREUD starting to Britain, he never met one Londoner to his home. It is principally Dr. Alfred Indra, lawyer of the father of psychoanalysis, Ernest Jones and Marie Bonaparte who piloted the starting FREUD in exile. Never Sigmund Freud would have said to himself, as is done him declaim in this novel: "I think ..que without pride, be of the race of messianic revolutionaries. "(!)> P 87
Well, if you are looking for a good biography of Freud, so take that of Ernest JONES faithful paladin or the more caustic, Emilio Rodrigue.
So here we are with a fait novel somewhat ambiguous, with good passages, narration rather well done, although sometimes very sentimental, relationships FREUD / FLIESS well matched sequences too tinged with emotionalism that is not fitting the characters mentioned in their various historical realities. At least, for all we know. That's the kind of risk.
There is a resulting plot, however, with a twist of reality (letters FLIESS) .You will learn probably much entertaining you ... nothing more normal. It's a novel.
