... More than 2.5 years after Fun House they brought their (for now) last and probably most essential out. And everything gets louder, more uncompromising, harder, more aggressive, groovy etc. Much depends to the fact that James Williamson was allowed to pick up the guitar for the first time (thanks for that!). But the moment in which I throw the disc into the player, James his first C # plays in "Search and Destroy" and not later than 1:21 every wheel on the amplifier are turned all the way, is priceless. The groovy classic goes to 3:28 then to end and is followed by the yet distinctly different sounding "Gimme Danger". The song comes with a cool acoustic guitar intro and therefore creates a special atmosphere to then after 44 seconds finally the electric guitar is added. After 1:25 the song explodes virtually and does not seem to slow down until eventually the solo everything shuts down again. James Williamson has definitely when it comes to solo technique more to offer than Asheton. "Your Pretty Face Is Going To Hell" is everything right from the start, what makes the whole album ... it's loud, uncompromising, hard, aggressive and crazy. "Penetration" and "Raw Power" can with their directness and their harsh sound convincing effortlessly up with "I Need Somebody" probably the most special number of the album comes just as the first track. Bluesy guitars shimmer across the room, a cool groove conquered the handset, Iggy ruled the song to James Williamson with his Quailäten comes to light and are pure dynamite to the best. A frenzied solo. "Shake Appeal" is the shortest number of plate and definitely for me one of the mitreissensten. Fetzt rocking, catchy and is optimal to sing along. Here applies as for the whole album: LOUD turn up! On the shortest track follows with "Deah trip" the longest. And who has not yet understood Iggy's statement "its a violent mix" up to this time, he gets no later than your answer here. A brutal album !!!
Finally remains to me about the album, the songs, Iggy Pop, James Williamson and Ashetons only one thing to say: I tremble with awe when I can only thank them what to these 8 tracks to listen and feel ...
