Is quite comfortable to hold, tidy manufacture and really chic part. The best: it works beautifully! Precise steering, although with a slight delay, but which one really remembers little more after the first 1-2 races, because it makes a Mortz fun to drive with the thing.
I, however, since the first Mario Kart course playing with the gamepad, I then tested the controller with the Gamecube controller (since I do not own a Classic Controller). These controls work well and is of course a bit more accurate than the steering wheel.
Now the fun really begins!
As with any game of the series, there are 3 different racing classes (at times to be the spoiler from the mirror mode sidelined. * Oops * ;-)). 50, 100 and 150cc. As always with increasing difficulty - and I must say, 150cc is just brutal, and thus a real challenge. The gameplay is about with Double Dash !! compare, but with the restriction that is now back with a driver per kart, respectively bike, went to the time-tested system.
Visually, the game settles only slightly from its GameCube predecessor, what was clear from the outset, because we just do not have PS3 or Xbox in our beloved Wii console 360 chips under the hood, but only slightly improved GameCube components. However, to say that Mario Kart - whether in the 1, 2, 3 or 4 player mode - without exception ALWAYS with around 60 fps runs ultra smoothly. I also think that one Mario Kart should not represent more realistic. It plays to a in a fantasy world and a mediocre graphic is tolerated by most players, as long as the game right. That he does.
Especially when it comes to the online game. Here Mario Kart Wii only unfolds its full potential. Finding games running with unexpected speed and the connection is really "rock-solid", which means that there is virtually no disconnects. With my DSL 2000 connection I have also almost no lag and even in 2 player mode WFC runs 1a Internet connection. The waiting time before the start of a race are with about 2 seconds until all players have the track loaded, really very short and quite acceptable. The Online Versus race is great fun and is a much bigger challenge than playing on a TV, because you do not have here the advantage of being able to see what other players shoot until the - by me personally hated - beep a blue tank sounds and the hard-won leadership negates. Unfortunately, there is neither text nor Voice Chat, as the Wii, however, is to be a console for the entire family and therefore younger players can play online, the protection of minors from Nintendo is hereby ensured that one can forgive quite. The pauses between races are also much too short to catch up on the last lap and the stupid blue tank upset just before the finish line.
Certainly one could give the game deductions, as there is no co-op are more Cups in multiplayer and the competition now with 12 players (of which at least 10 mostly incompetent AI drivers) need to be played. However, I think that one may give the game any deductions so as the online mode, this simply leaves all fall into oblivion.
I'll see you on the track, or better you see my exhaust =)
