Addendum: Last night was shown me a new update that I have also installed the same. If so change something for the better, I'll notify here in about a week. As far as I can erinnen, this was one of three updates that I 2 days ago (see below also further) had installed. Perhaps the problems just described were indeed the fact that the update was not performed correctly. As I said. In one week more.
Addendum # 2: It has not changed. The battery lasts for 3 days (3 runs, walks, ...) a total of 4 hours and 9 minutes. During a hike worn, it was after 4 hours and 49 minutes, "all".

In Windows 8, the clock was immediately recognized completely correct, as I 7 only the latest USB drivers had to download from the Garmin website under my Windows in version 2.3.1. That reminds me of this simple solution did not occur first, I had 2 days ago written the Garmin Support via the contact form, which I have received no response to date.
When first connecting a total of three different updates were available, which were so large that not all could be installed at a time. It appeared the error message that is not enough space for Uptaes was vorhanen. In this case the device from the PC has separated (Windows: USB Mass Storage Device Eject) are. The clock plays some Updates until a later. When you reconnect, I was able to import also the remaining update.

The documentation for the commissioning of the clock is in the details.
Since this is my first contact with Garmin Connect, I can not understand the information in some other review. I find the pages quite confusing. Good written instructions, I would find advantageous. One way different parts of a day trip, the recording I, so that the battery does not make flabby middle, during the breaks have repeatedly broken off and stored, easy to sum up a tour, I miss both the clock itself and at Garmin Connect.

+ The clock itself has a good build quality. It is connected via a special USB cable contact device to a PC. In addition they will be charged, and so does the connection to Garmin Connect Express and on.
- Sometimes it takes up to 2 minutes for the GPS contact was made.
+/- The connection to the heart sensor works easily and without problems. I myself the belt but so uncomfortable to wear, that I have used it only twice.
- The operation of the clock does not please me at all points. The more I use the clock, the more I miss the opportunity to have the GPS tracking manually pause in the long run. The way GPS off and on again manually switch to precisely this point resume recording only when needed, would be contrary to the auto pause especially conserve battery power. I can even so interrupt the tracking for a short time, but eventually (after about 5 minutes) the tracking of the clock will be canceled easily. Here Garmin should make improvements in any case.

Conclusion: As long as the battery life of the clock is so short when the GPS, I can not forgive more like 3 stars here. At least here Garmin should make improvements as quickly as firmware upgrades.
Should you have any questions about specific points of my review, so I will answer this, as I understand this is possible, like in the comments.
