I'm really impressed with how well the film composer Dario Marianelli, the musical idiom of the Napoleonic era hits - he really has carefully studied his Beethoven, it shows! The film was, as stated in the booklet, the music adapted, and not the other way around, as usual, and it shows. I would like to highlight the continuous under the skin processing of Purcell great theme in the track "Leaving Netherfield". Wonderful music!
