Very very good book. Maybe one of the most successful of the author. But the exercise of alternate history is not easy! I will say nothing of the plot. Apart from the "historical" context, I do not know her at all and it was all the better. K Dick spitting image: a gallery of complex characters, subtle psychology without a thorough whack ... I have rarely enjoyed as a novel or there were so many characters and intersecting histories, all in the service understanding of an imaginary world, a real gem screenplay!
