The TC-80N3 working properly respect in connection with the Canon EOS 7D. The various functions (long exposures, interval circuit / "lapse function", self-timer and preset number of shots), which is important to also set the camera to the right program (eg. "B" - bulb). The TC-80N3 also works as a "normal" Kabelfernauslöser (without battery) with a locking function (the release button does not need to be permanently pressed at long exposure). The price could be slightly lower.
