3M Scotch writes, "objects up to 1 kg per 15 cm assembly line to most smooth, varnished or painted surfaces and vinyl." I do not want sunk, but mM after the tape holds significantly more! On rough surfaces - which is of course a matter of definition - I recommend neither this nor any other tape. If too little adhesive contact can be made, it is better to choose another method of attachment.
