Plugging - and it worked then without any problems. But how then are the inner values? I checked at home with the Voltcraft Energy Check 3000 and my Fujitsu Amilo laptop.
At idle, 0.3 watts were displayed (against 0.6 watts when Fujitsu original power supply).
When dormant Windows desktop there were about 22 watts, while the Fujitsu-original power supply pulled at least 24 watts here. So about 2 watts or about 8 - 10% less power consumption. The efficiency in load and full load I have not checked. For only because of the power savings, hardly anyone will order a replacement power supply for a laptop because you can not bring out the cost of only occasional use in low power anyway. But who needs a good replacement power supply, can find a high-quality and efficient in my opinion part of that is worth the money.
