Yes .... festival is the GPS in the holder. Partially so firmly that you have to worry what cancel instead of getting the Etrex out of the holder. The good thing about it: In contrast to the handlebar mount for the last generation I have the Garmin even at high speed and very gruff terrain not lost and therefore not to look. The fixing with cable ties is .... well .... fiddly. The cable ties have been refuted by my tight assembly. The material is much too hard and brittle. Tip from me: nylon cable ties with metal latch. Thus bringing the part fixed properly. The best mounting on the mountain for me on the porch, directly on the handlebar. Depending nachvorbau you can then work with 4 cable ties and mount the bracket against rotation in all directions. An installation on the handlebars is not reasonably possible, as the GPS twisted there inevitably by the shaking. A Tesa-Power Strip between mount and handlebar ensures a few days to rotate, but not permanently. -> Unusable.
Which unfortunately does not fit: The price-performance ratio. 10 Euro for a piece of plastic molding, a rubber pad and 4 bad cable ties are actually a joke. Unfortunately, there is nothing better than this mount for the current Etrex. Hello Garmin! Just bring me a holder of the same type that is integrated into the headset top cap and is held by the screw. That would be like 30 worth ....;)
Conclusion: Poor price performance With creative mounting but good function and good durability. I have installed the holder on all my bikes and now driven very many vertical meters without lost Garmin or broken bracket.
