This kettle that I use for more than a year still works flawlessly with use several times a day. The background which produces the heat is much better than a spiral resistance and cleans up easily with a little vinegar. The temperature control is an illusion, it is basically boiling or simmering water (70-80 °), and that's it. The surface is a little messy, but she cleans a sponge. Only the small scale filter is a bit tricky to replace after cleaning. Very good value for money.
