The opening is fill the water quite small, but adequate. Well, I think the sink, dripping with me as nothing, all good.
The inside of the kettle is unfortunately, as noted in other reviews, not stainless steel. Mir is not so important, it would have been nice anyway.
At the beginning I did just that easily allow the stove to boil water three, thus the plastic smell is well gone. Meanwhile smells nothing more.
One drawback is the Severin: when the boiler is completely filled, then the water is boiling so much that it squirts out something. This need not be, and disturbs me somewhat.
Overall a good kettle, I'm quite happy with it, but would probably not buy it again.
