This "slim book box" consists of two parts: the keyboard itself, which is of good quality (nice touch when typing a text, backlit keys ...), and an extremely thin shell (protection is very light, suddenly) that clips onto the iPad 2. The keyboard + hull weighing just over 500 grams, so it is a heavy weight. The keyboard is equipped with a magnetic hinge on which you can clip the iPad, and allows it to change position. This hinge is a bit difficult to turn, but it's also what makes the iPad remains in place in a given position. It may also decide not to use the keyboard at all: the iPad and its hull stand out in a jiffy. In theory, just load the keyboard once every two years - I have not been able to verify this statement! Personally, I find the shell a bit useless (too brittle) and suddenly I prefer only keyboards, like Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard for iPad 2 air, which is much lighter than this one (325 gr), and is also excellent. The air ipad 2 is clipped directly into the logitech keyboard, and the keyboard is a form of protection (minimum) during transport.
