From a playful and rather naive character, this album will do just fine for spending a wonderful evening, all kinds of confused public.
And that's the rub. There is the temptation to make "modern" with "old" severely displeased me, especially at the beach 11, entitled "half of Olvidate". Really is like hearing the "jazz"; and I weigh my words; this is not the first time Christina Pluhar allows some anachronisms (remember the clarinet from his album "All Improvviso") This "half of Olvidate" undated, I was quite appalled. Even if the "modern" trend is sometimes felt, even for works dated from 1643, 1556, 1730, the "mid to Olvidate" is reminiscent of the music of jazzy world. However, that was not the intention when I purchased this "Meet Impossible"
Among the good points include the sublime singing "a cappella" which closes the disc. And the furious violin, but alas, so short that gives a little boost to this recital ("Dia spagola"). Mira Glodeanu, baroque violin, is all fire and deserved more space than a meager 2 minutes (-if strong intensity-we would have asked for more!)
Besides, sometimes it seems that Christina Pluhar refused any excess. Indeed, when the air, quite invigorating melodies start, especially baroque guitar, they vanish so soon. A little Spanish flame was put here.
A disc that baffles me but nevertheless we have chosen to listen.
