I too would like to submit an evaluation of the fan.

I use the NH-DH14 already several months and so far no problems arose.
The Noctua to be cooled by the processor is not overclocked AMD Phenom II 965 BE.
In idle whose temperature is with me at about 31 ° C.
With Prime 95 (a program that the CPU auslastet almost 100%), I get the temperature to 43 ° C,
then it was over, even after more than 2 1/2 (!) hours changed that assessment.
That was already proof enough that the Noctua has to be even the highest demands for me.
Exemplary is the processing of the fan, nirgenswo residue, burrs or the like, perfectly.

The assembly is, if you have a little skill and is familiar with the material, easy
by hand, not least because the German guide that is useful for both AMD and Intel.

The soundscape is ... how can I say ... almost non-existent. Even at the standard rate of rotation of the fan,
which are also the highest possible, the NH-DH14 is covered in my system of the case fans.
And making only 19 Dzb "noise". (Cooler Master 200mm case fan "MegaFlow")
This is not surprising because even 120mm are for a CPU cooling fan much, comes when Noctua
even a 140mm fan to. And is case of fans in general, the larger the diameter, the less
is the required speed (with the same delivery quantity x as compared to a fan with a smaller diameter)
and lower speeds mean less noise gleichzetig.

All this, of course, has its price. Not only in euros, but also in centimeters.
Larger fan than this, there is little, accordingly musss be careful in the

the latter is dominated on almost all motherboards from NH-DH14.
But again shines manufacturer Noctua, on its website, he shall keep detailed compatibility lists
regarding RAM and motherboards, so man can determine quickly and easily before buying whether the NH-DH14 on
own motherboard and the RAM fits.

The price may slay one at first glance, but the Noctua is my opinion
worth every penny.
