Skeppshult 0865T Wok 3.5 liters with wooden handle from Swedish beech and helper handle - suitable for all heat sources, including induction Ø 30 cm (household goods)

Customer Review

I bought the pan because I was looking for a smaller wok with one hand - it should be cast, because I can not with city gas generate spontaneous heat as for cooking with the classical Blechwok is necessary. The disadvantages of heat storage I take this into the bargain. I am very pleased with the pan and branding needs here as well his time, the patina is better even if it takes longer due to the very rough surface than in my other Sweden pans.
The criticisms that are not perhaps of interest to all users: when using on my gas stove on medium flame, the top surface is very small about 13 cm and at a distance the bracket next to the flame of about 11.5 cm one must always pay close attention to the fact that the pan does not tilts. In the great flame the pan stands directly on the burner because the bars are too far apart. So I would say "suitable for all heat sources" is only partially true here. But the problem we have with all Gußeisenwoks - also those of the French brand manufacturers - but they are so large and heavy that you can not be tempted it comes to the flame moving.
The second criticism is that there are no matching lid to the pan. The indicated diameter of 30 cm is an estimate of the rather refers to the outer diameter, the inner diameter is 29.3 cm +/- 1.5 mm (manufacturing tolerance). A 30 cm lid (eg Pyrex glass) is therefore too great, and a 28 cm cover fits, but sits a little deep - but can not fall down thereby. The manufacturer knows the problem, but thinks that the Wok cook no lid is required and the splash guard with no way are variable - which indeed is true in principle.
I personally like the version with the walnut grip better because the wood will look more natural - but that is certainly a matter of taste.
