Was intended as onion slicer, unfortunately the included knife with a blade spacing of approximately 1 cm is much greater than the lower knobs shown in the image in which the blade is pushed in. Therefore, only limited suitability for onion. Says on the box, there is the unit with a smaller blade spacing that matches the spacing of the nubs. When ordering this option is not offered and not even advised of the larger blade spacing. Unfortunately, the knife is also not interchangeable.
