I have to have more and more, not purchased by this time feel the best TV in this price category: The image is fine for me, but the highly reflective display has a bit annoying. Furthermore, the illumination of the image is not very uniform; there are already clearly visible differences in brightness. The build quality is rather moderate, since the scope of the display has a very uneven distance from the surface of the display.
But, as I said, watching TV does not bother sooooo much.
What, however, is a real disaster, the entire operation of SmartTV:
With the standard remote control degenerates to set up the TV, incl. The Senderprogramierung out in a wild orgy key tip. Without the optional LG AN-MR500 Magic remote control (which I have gained me immediately after first trying out the TV), the operator is virtually impossible. Use mouse-like MagicFB has this been going much better, but lacks some features on the remote control, so you have to again resort to the serial remote control for this anyway ...
The WebOS operating concept is very similar to the popular PC operating systems: You can take the Magic FB point and click; actually quite beautiful and logical. But ...
The inertia of the whole system makes the easy operation quickly canceled out: Before eg the EPG EPG is displayed, pass (perceived) forever, but at least 5-10 seconds. If the settings are accessed, the TV is also cleared many, many seconds to change your mind. The overview of the favorites / recommendations also builds only on after about 10 seconds. Playback from DLNA devices is also done very bad: The sorting and narrowing down options to find the film of choice in a slightly larger collection on the remote media server, are simply inadequate.
The channel search itself and the subsequent settlement of the Stations of the whole Satellitenprogammschrott (eg Arirang TV, RAI Uno, etc., the only "clogged" the list), is an impertinence: What a Tastengeklicker on FB! And, with the SerienFB which is much worse, virtually useless!
From a SmartTV new generation because I had expected something else; my several years old Panasonic plasma TV TX-P42GT50E is as orders of magnitude faster and responds almost immediately on each FB-command!
Conclusion: Again, I would not have bought the TV! That I still have it, is only attributable to my laziness of having to drag the TV back to the dealer, and to me then have to choose a new ...
