The crop factor camera equivalents (KB) is the 2nd single lens focal length x 2 count gives the equivalent in KB format. The included 14 42 mm lens thus corresponds to 28 mm 84 KB. From sufficient wide angle through to telephoto and lightweight portrait lens. Who needs more focal length is a good selection of lenses. For example, the cost Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 40-150mm 1: 4.0-5.6 R lens (80 - 300 mm KB) or the powerful Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 75-300mm 1: 4.8-6.7 lens (150 - 600 mm in KB )!
Focusing is fast and mostly reliable. About the foldable touch display can wonderful the object of desire Photo clicked optional: focus and shot! By articulating display also photos from the hip succeed shot perfectly. Because the image stabilization has its share, which works well. The digital level is also a great tool against crooked images.
The large sensor allows low-noise photos! Until ISO 1600 virtually noise-free, ISO 3200 also still good. Who sets the light sensitivity even higher, but even then only laaangsam with a poorer image, vulgo noise punished.
One can certainly argue about the sense or nonsense of the type filter. Should try it yet, there are really nice effects here that the PC would otherwise only subsequently possible. The SCN settings include the well-known programs, such as portrait, night, sports, etc. pp. Full manual can let off steam in M and really set everything as you want it. But most of the automatic system is absolutely useful and it comes so quickly to a successful shot. The menu of the camera was okay and pretty catchy, at times it is however too complex.
The mini-compact flash (attached) is expected to be underpowered. I would rather have seen it, he would be integrated directly in the camera. The monitor might like to be better resolved but that's already whining at a high level. Voluntary six months extended warranty I think already on friendly terms strange because this is not only linked to registration, but also to the respect of a newsletter!
From my 4 1/2 stars for this entry-level camera, for people who want more than just take pictures!
