Workmanship:
The lamp is made of heavy aluminum. I did not expect that it is so massive. It is meticulously crafted (although they are manufactured in China). The surface is brushed. Between the aluminum bars 4 LED spotlights are gimbaled. In other words, they are arbitrarily rotated about the longitudinal and transverse axis. Each radiator has an LED element, which in turn consists of each 3 2.5-watt LEDs, as we know from the Ledino series from Philips.
Light:
The lamp gives off a very nice warm light. Indicated it is with a color temperature of 2700 K. I suspect that it is just a tad bit warmer (minimally higher red-emphasis). But the color is very beautiful. Each LED element provides a luminous flux of 350 lumens. So the entire lamp comes to 1400 lumens, which corresponds to at least a 100-watt incandescent bulb. The lamp is easily dimmable - without flickering. I have to use a Eltako dimmers. On the Philips website you will find information about which dimmers are suitable for LED lights. The individual spots provide precise light beam and can be adjusted very effectively for the targeted accent lighting. I have a total of three of these lights used in a long hallway. Is really super bright and looks great.
Assembly:
The lamp has a long metal bar that one type aluminum wedge has at its ends with fastening holes for the cover at the bottom. This strip is screwed with the enclosed screws and dowels to the ceiling. Due to the present in the wedges Long-holes (one cross, one along) is a subsequent correction possible. The cable entry can take place at any point of the bottom, as the light on the entire length of the bottom is open. The actual installation is done by pressing the lamp on the ceiling-bar wedges and tightening two grub screws that are located at the ends of the lamp. This is a bit tricky and is only two because the lamp quickly leads to a lame arm due to their still relatively high weight for those who need them hold standing on a ladder and the grub screws must be turned deep into the thread (8-10 revolutions).
Conclusion: lace design in very massive construction and good workmanship, great light, well-aligned and dimmable. Can only recommend the light - but should not unnecessarily overpay you. Has full 5 star worthy.
